Liverpool beat Everton 2-0 in the Women’s Super League Merseyside derby, with Swedish pair Beata Olsson and Cornelia Kapocs helping the home side to the victory.
The result ended a difficult sequence for Liverpool, who had lost each of their previous five home Merseyside derbies before this meeting with their local rivals.
Olsson and Kapocs were the players singled out for their part in the win, as Liverpool took the derby honours with what was a deserved victory over Everton.
