David Oulehla’s post-match interview turns into a viral test of eye contact

FK Viagem Ústí nad Labem had just lost 3-2 to SFC Opava, and the post-match interview that followed was supposed to be about the score. Instead, the conversation between coach David Oulehla and club presenter Sabina Jákšová became the most replayed moment of the clip.

As Jákšová put her questions to him, Oulehla appeared to look everywhere except at her, his gaze repeatedly shifting down towards the floor and off to the side. Jákšová was wearing a striking white suit over a low-cut brown top. The footage itself offers no explanation for the coach’s behaviour, but viewers were quick to read it as an attempt to avoid an inappropriate glance.

The reaction on social media was largely sympathetic. Some users joked that Oulehla was “fighting for his life” during the exchange, while others praised what they saw as his restraint. One fan went further and called for a VAR review to establish whether the coach had looked at all.

Jákšová is not a newcomer to the role. She joined the club as a presenter last season after being approached by its management, and she has said she had no previous experience in the position, learning as she went while trying to feel natural and comfortable on camera.

On the pitch, Oulehla’s team left the field with a 3-2 defeat. Off it, however, his careful gaze became the clip’s defining image, turning a routine postgame conversation into what many fans treated as an unexpected second contest once the match itself was over.
