A giant Edin Dzeko shirt has been unveiled in Sarajevo to mark the Bosnia-Herzegovina striker’s retirement from international football. The oversized tribute went up in the Bosnian capital bearing the message “Hvala, Dijamante”.
The phrase translates as “Thank you, Diamond”, the farewell accompanying the display as Dzeko’s international career comes to a close.
Dzeko, 40, has not stepped away from the club game. The former Manchester City striker has signed a new deal at Schalke, keeping him in the professional game after the end of his time with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
