The Republic of Ireland’s Nations League match against Israel will go ahead on Sunday, with Football Association of Ireland chief executive David Courell confirming that a “significant majority” of the squad voted in favour of fulfilling the fixture.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, Courell said that one player did not want to play in the match and withdrew from the squad before the vote was held.
The fixture is due to be staged in Hungary on Sunday.
