Transfer gossip: Chelsea lead Alex Scott chase as Bayern weigh Dani Olmo move

Chelsea would head the queue for Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott if the 23-year-old Englishman becomes available in January. Any deal would hinge on Bournemouth allowing the move when the window opens, but the Stamford Bridge club is positioned at the front of the line should that happen.

Bayern Munich are eyeing a potential January move for Barcelona forward Dani Olmo. The Bundesliga club’s valuation of the 28-year-old World Cup-winning Spain international is around £60m.

Barcelona, meanwhile, will need to sell players in January in order to fund any incoming transfers of their own. Inter Milan and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni, 27, features on their shortlist.

Jude Bellingham’s future, by contrast, looks settled. The 23-year-old England midfielder will extend his contract at Real Madrid and is not interested in a move to Manchester City.

Two defenders are drawing Premier League attention. Atalanta and Italy centre-back Giorgio Scalvini, 22, is the subject of interest from Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea. Chelsea are also one of four Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Manchester City and Uzbekistan defender Abdukodir Khusanov, 22.

On the loan front, there is no January exit clause for Chelsea or Aston Villa in the deal that took Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho, 22, to the Midlands club on a season-long loan.

Liverpool are considering a move to bring 23-year-old English midfielder Tyler Morton back to the club from Lyon. Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Brighton are also keeping tabs on him.

In Italy, Juventus could be set to reignite their interest in Brazil goalkeeper Alisson, 33, whose future at Liverpool is in doubt.
