Wales host Norway as Nations League triple-header takes centre stage

Three Nations League fixtures share the same 7.45pm BST kick-off on Wednesday, with Wales v Norway joined by Denmark v Portugal and Germany v Serbia. Confirmed line-ups for all of the night’s matches were expected shortly before kick-off.

Wales go into the game on the back of a poor defeat to Denmark, a performance Craig Bellamy said left him not recognising his own side. They now meet a Norway team whose head coach, Ståle Solbakken, has been in the job for six years.

Solbakken’s main attacking concern looks settled: he said “everything’s fine” with Erling Haaland, who has scored three goals in his past two matches. The Norway coach also played down the suggestion that the City verdict had been a distraction for the striker.

Norway’s preparations are not entirely clear of doubt, however. Martin Ødegaard is a doubt for the Wales game, leaving his involvement to be confirmed when the teams are named.
