Women’s transfer window summer 2026: Juventus’s late triple swoop among 734 deals

The women’s summer 2026 transfer window has produced 734 completed deals across the sport’s six leading leagues, with business still being logged into the middle of September. The tally spans the NWSL, the Women’s Super League, Liga F, the Frauen-Bundesliga, Première Ligue and Serie A Femminile, running alongside a club-by-club breakdown of who has moved where.

The window’s defining names are three players at very different stages of their careers: Gotham FC’s Sam Kerr, Alexia Putellas of the London City Lionesses and Borussia Dortmund’s Alexandra Popp.

Juventus have been among the most active clubs late in the window, completing three deals in three days. Amaiur Sarriegi arrived from Atlético Madrid for an undisclosed fee, the 25-year-old forward setting her sights high: “The goal is to win everything we possibly can.” Japan midfielder Manaka Hayashi joined from Chicago Stars in a move that will take her to Europe for the first time, and Ornella Graziani came in on loan from Paris Saint-Germain while representing France at the under-20 World Cup.

Paris Saint-Germain’s squad has been trimmed from several directions. Midfielder Tanté Diakité has joined Nantes on loan in search of more playing time, Graziani has gone to Turin for the season, and forward Lina Jamaï has moved to Porto for an undisclosed fee after gaining valuable experience in Paris.

Among the other completed deals, defender Chidinma Okeke has signed a two-year contract with Napoli after leaving Club América, and forward Gabi Nunes has joined Atlético Madrid on a free transfer, having also left Aston Villa earlier in the summer. Defender Caitlin Cosme has moved from Nantes to Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee, saying: “Everyone has been so welcoming so far and I’m excited to just immerse myself in this club and in this community.”

Midfielders have been on the move as well. Mafalda Barbóz has joined Nuremberg from Racing Power FC for an undisclosed fee, bringing a defensive style to her game, while Meret Günster has gone from Nuremberg to Sassuolo on a free transfer after deciding she wanted to compete abroad. Goalkeeper Kelly Steen has left Hera United for Ternana Women, describing herself as “a calm goalkeeper who likes to play with my feet, be involved in the build-up play, and always be a passing option for my teammates”.

In England, forward Leah Galton has joined Burnley on a free transfer from Manchester United. “I never thought I would be [playing football] for this long and still doing the thing I love doing, so I’m always proud of how far I’ve come,” she said.

The window has also brought the end of two careers. Inès Jaurena has retired after leaving Fleury 91, having built extensive experience in Europe as well as in the NWSL, and Marie-Charlotte Léger has hung up her boots at the age of 30 after 20 years in the sport, departing Les Marseillaises. Annahita Zamanian, meanwhile, has become a free agent after her contract at Parma was terminated by mutual agreement.
